Dartfish Brings National Cheerleading Championship Video Online

Cheersport is set to host over 900 teams in Atlanta, GA, on Feb. 18-20 for the 2011 National Cheerleading and Dance Championship.  More than 900 teams will compete two times over the weekend, to determine the National Champion in more than 60 divisions.

Cheersport will use Dartfish video capture systems to view and judge, broadcasting each performance from their Dartfish.tv online video platform immediately following each team’s performance.   More than 1800 videos will posted during the competition at www.cheersport.tv.

“The ease of use, yet robust solution that Dartfish offers, from content creation to publishing, has been key in our decision,” says Jeff Fowlkes, Cheersport President.  “Dartfish.tv has allowed us to get closer to our fan base and their families.  People can watch the video of their performances year round, on demand.”

At the 2010 National Cheerleading and Dance Championship, Dartfish powered tools captured and web published more than 1600 clips over one weekend. People watched events online in near real-time, delayed only by the length of the performance and verification of the judges’ score.  The web-published content allows competitors, family, and fans to access video from the competition all year long.

The Dartfish.tv platform is powered by Silverlight. Using Dartfish’s filter/search tools, viewers can identify their team’s videos or any other team’s videos, searching quickly and easily.
