3D Biz Report: Who Needs 3D Glasses When You Can Have a 3D Face Mask?

The 3D Biz Report brings news that designer 3D glasses are currently available from Oakley, Gucci, and, now, Hasbro. But Hasbro’s 3D glasses are actually 3D facemasks for kids. The Transformers 3D masks are RealD-compatible passive 3D glasses built into plastic masks shaped like the faces of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee from the upcoming film Transformers: Dark of the Moon. They will retail for $9.99 and start shipping to stores in May. Also in the news at the 3D Biz Report is the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in 3D, LG’s 3D goals in 2011, ESPN’s single-truck 3D production, Comcast’s new 24-hour 3D channel, Pinnochio in 3D, and Martin Scorsese’s 3D debut.
