NAB 2011: Corplex Preps Chromium for Launch

Corplex TV is beginning the process of integrating its third HD unit, Chromium, the sister mobile-production unit to Iridium, which has been out on the market for almost three years now. VP of Engineering Dave Greany is the designer and has made some innovative upgrades in Chromium’s design. Among the engineering upgrades, the new truck will carry a Grass Valley Kayenne production switcher and a Calrec Apollo audio console. Also included in the enhancements is state-of-the-art air-conditioning. These additions to the Iridium design will make Chromium one of the more powerful and production-friendly HD mobile units in the industry.

Currently, the company in the early stages of discussing its scope of work with some of its clients. Corplex is projecting a late-summer launch.
