Call For Entries: Now Accepting College Sports Media Award Submissions!

The 2011 College Sports Media Awards, presented by SVG and NACDA is officially open for entries.  The closing deadline is April 20, 2011. Nominations will be announced in May and the awards will be presented in conjunction with the Third Annual College Sports Video Summit on June 7 in Atlanta, GA.

CLICK HERE to access the full entry form. Complete rules and entry procedures can be found HERE.

Competition will be divided into three Divisions:  Professional, Collegiate Athletics, and Collegiate Academics.  The eligibility requirements are slightly different than in 2010, as we wanted to make as clear a delineation between the Divisions as possible.  In addition, we wanted to recognize the ever growing contribution of the Academic Departments within the University to sports production.  Please refer to the rules for specific eligibility requirements.

There are three categories within each Division that have remained consistent: Live Game and Event Production, Special Feature, and Promotional Video (incorporating PSAs, Program Opens, Teases, and Campaigns).  The “College Sports Video of the Year” award has been eliminated.

The submission process is slightly different as well.  The entry form has been edited to expedite the process.  Each video will now be submitted through a dedicated and password-protected drop box that is unique to each submitting entity.  You will be required to upload your video(s) to a central hosting service (that will be provided for you), so you no longer have to host them on your website.  Judges will then be able to view the videos by streaming them online.

All nominated videos will be posted on Vimeo in a CSMA channel. If you need further information, please contact Tom Buffolano at [email protected]
