The Mtn. to Provide Coverage of the 2011 Conoco Mountain West Conference Basketball Championships

MountainWest Sports Network will offer viewers and Mountain West Conference fans comprehensive coverage the week of the 2011 Conoco Mountain West Conference Basketball Championships, beginning Monday, March 7 when the 2010-11 Mountain West Conference Basketball Awards are announced live at 2 p.m. MT (encore presentation at 7 p.m. MT).

Tournament-specific coverage continues later in the day on March 7 with two 30-minute specials previewing the upcoming men’s and women’s brackets at the 2011 Conoco Mountain West Conference Basketball Championships, airing at 7:30 and 8 p.m. MT, respectively. 

The Mtn.’s live game coverage of 2011 Conoco Mountain West Conference Basketball Championships, available in high-definition, begins Wednesday, March 9 with the men’s first round game at 3 p.m. MT followed by the two women’s second round games later in the day. 

Four men’s quarterfinal games highlight a full day of coverage on Thursday, March 10 and the two women’s semifinal contests on Friday, March 11 make for a total of nine telecasts on The Mtn. 

The network will produce pre, halftime, and post-game shows over four days of competition surrounding most games scheduled on The Mtn.  The network’s production of Game Two and Game Four of the men’s quarterfinals on Thursday, March 10 will be simulcast on CBS College Sports Network (also available in HD).  CBS College Sports Network will also carry The Mtn.’s live edition of Mountain Sports Report, presented by Dodge following the conclusion of the second women’s semifinal on Friday.

The pairing of James Bates (PxP) and Joe Cravens (analyst) will call the men’s No. 8 vs. No. 9 games and Games 3 and 4 of the men’s quarterfinals.  Ari Wolfe (PxP) and Blaine Fowler (analyst) will work Games 1 and 2 of the men’s quarterfinals.  The tandem of Anne Schatz (PxP) and Andrea Lloyd (analyst) are courtside for all women’s games on The Mtn.  Molly Sullivan (sidelines) and Bill Doleman (host) will work all nine games on The Mtn.

Coverage continues through Saturday, March 12 with a live one-hour show produced by and airing on The Mtn. between the women’s and men’s championship games, recapping the women’s action and previewing the upcoming men’s championship. 

The one-hour review/preview starts at approximately 4 p.m. MT/3 p.m. PT and will be simulcast on VERSUS, which is televising the women’s and men’s championship games.  The Mtn. wraps up the action from the men’s finale and the tournament as a whole with a live 30-minute presentation of Ram Trucks Post Game Live after the men’s championship game.
