NAB 2011: PSSI – Strategic TV Supports NASCAR, Golf, UFC

PSSI – Strategic TV continues to support NASCAR Media Group, Golf Channel, and UFC with multipath digital HD planning, encoding, monitoring, implementation, and distribution. PSSI again will be covering 38 weeks of Sprint Cup NASCAR racing, delivering a combination of MPEG-4 and MPEG-2 HD muxed platforms to NASCAR Media Group and Speed channel in Charlotte, NC, along with DirecTV’s multicar offering of Hot Pass from Los Angeles.

PSSI also will uplink Turners Race Buddy and 48 audio channels of Team Communications within the same transmit streams this year. All will be handled through C-27, the company’s 50-ft.-long C-band two-antenna remote teleport facility. At the Masters golf tournament, PSSI will provide Golf Channel with up to six paths of HD programming from cameras at the TGC set. The paths will be delivered down a 270-Mb fiber circuit to Golf Channel Operations Center in Orlando.
