NAB 2011: Cobalt Digital To Feature Fusion3G Cards

Developed for openGear, Cobalt Digital’s Fusion3G 3G/HD/SD-SDI multifunctional cards are packed with features that elevate production values and offer options that appeal to end users. The series’ 9901-UDX up/down/crossconverter with frame sync furnishes a powerful all-in-one tool that maximizes every bit of space in mobile units and protects investments with future-proof technologies, including 3G capabilities. Its ability to support all formats — 3G, component, composite, and fiber as well as AES and analog audio inputs and outputs on crosspoint routers — is essential for production companies serving a customer base with a proliferation of format choices. Additionally, Fusion3G provides a Keying option, allowing operators to utilize both Key and Fill channel for live graphics insertion. Also at the NAB Show, Cobalt will introduce a Wings option that facilitates a separate SDI wings input for static or moving video.
