NAB 2011: DiGiCo Features Stealth Routing in SD7 Console

Powering DiGiCo’s SD7 sound-mixing console is the company’s new Stealth mixing and routing engine. Based on the latest incarnation of Field Programmable Gate Array technology, known as Super FPGA, the Stealth engine is a core component of the SD7’s improved console design. Allied to three late-generation SHARC effects and control processors, it provides the console with eight times the overall processing power of the industry standard D5 Live. The SD7 work surface combines technologies from other industries, such as Hidden-til-lit (HTL), integrating them to provide sound engineers with an informative and interactive experience. The work surface comprises three 15-in. high-resolution touchscreens. The SD7 can accommodate up to 1,392 I/O connections.
