3D Biz Report: 100 Channels in 3D Worldwide by 2015

In this week’s 3D Biz Report, In-Stat estimates there will be more than 100 3D channels worldwide by 2015, including paid-TV video On Demand options, as well as traditional channels. Also reported was the recent partnership between The American Optometric Association (consisting of 36,000 members) and the 3D at-Home Consortium group, comprised of more than 45 companies in the 3D industry. Additionally, the 3D Biz Report announced Samsung’s prototype for a 55-inch glasses-free 3D TV. Samsung’s goal is to create a 3D TV with up to 32 different viewing angles.
