MultiDyne Launches LiGHTBoX-II

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems expands its field fiber acquisition product line with the introduction of the LiGHTBoX-II, a weather-tight portable fiber transport system equipped to handle a wide range of communication needs.

LiGHTBoX II now offers important enhancements to the original LiGHTBoX design. The standard configuration provides two-way HD video, two-way composite video for confidence feeds, 2-CH PL intercom for industry-standard beltpacks, GPI and tally, and six channels of program audio.

This next-generation field unit incorporates a sophisticated power-management system that monitors battery life (up to two batteries) and automatically switches to backup AC power when it detects battery end-of-life. A remote display and alarm system mounted in the truck alerts the video operator as to what is happening out at the LiGHTBoX II.

The LiGHTBoX II can be linked to the truck or studio with standard ST optical connectors, Neutrik Opticalcon, or SMPTE or Tyco cables. It can be mated with another LiGHTBoX II, a LiGHTCuBE, or a standard 19-in., 1RU rack-mount panel.
