Dalet Networks with Axia

Dalet Digital Media Systems and Axia Audio, the networked-audio division of Telos Systems, are showcasing the new Axia Livewire integration with the enterprise Dalet Radio Suite solution. This new integration lets Dalet Radio Suite users send studio-grade audio directly to Axia AoIP networks via their network interface cards, completely bypassing the need for PC soundcards.

“Axia is a leading provider of Audio over IP technology and it is important for Dalet and Dalet customers that we qualify and integrate Axia within our Radio technology,” says Raoul Cospen, Director of Marketing, Dalet Digital Media Systems. “By leveraging the Axia technology, we are able to simplify Dalet Radio Suite deployments and infrastructure and give our customers a high-quality audio over IP alternative for their operations.”

The first mutual client to combine Dalet Radio Suite with Axia Livewire networking is Minnesota Public Radio, one of the largest and most respected public broadcasters in the US, headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota. “Minnesota Public Radio is excited to be taking advantage of the flexibility of multicast IP audio and routing with our play-to-air broadcast systems, by using Dalet’s integration with Axia’s Livewire network,” says Doug Rowe, MPR’s Manager of Media Production Systems. “We’re pleased to be a part of Axia and Dalet’s Livewire partnership.”

The partnership between Dalet and Axia underscores the industry’s growing demand for networked audio, according to Axia President Michael “Catfish” Dosch. “Axia clients realize that the value of the network comes not from the network itself, but from the variety of devices the network can connect to. Now, Dalet Radio Suite users can easily interface with Axia networks.”
