Encompass Pegs Chris Myers to Lead Worldwide Occasional Services

Encompass Digital Media has appointed Chris Myers as EVP of Worldwide Occasional Services. In his new position, Myers is responsible for Encompass’ occasional-use content distribution business across its global Teleports as well as the company’s U.S.-based fleet of satellite uplink trucks.

“Chris is a highly accomplished executive, and we are delighted to bring him on board,” says Simon Bax, CEO of Encompass. “Over the years, Chris has developed extraordinary insight into the unique and complex requirements of occasional-use distribution and delivery and his aptitude in this arena is unmatched. As we continue to expand this core service area, Chris’ expertise and progressive approach will be influential in how we develop forward thinking global solutions for our occasional-use clients.

Before joining Encompass, Myers was executive director of newsgathering operations for ABC News where he managed technical operations for all of ABC’s U.S. and international bureaus. In addition, he also served as director of operations working closely with ABC’s 200 affiliates and clients.  Prior to this, he held operations roles at CBS NewsPath, Skyways Communications, and several local affiliates.

“Effective leadership is one of our most valued assets and Chris’ experience will add greatly to our success,” says Bill Tillson, President and COO of Encompass. “While Chris has been tasked with continuing the development of our occasional-use content distribution business, he will also provide leadership as a member of our senior executive team. We look forward to his contributions and anticipate that our clients will benefit as Chris expands our extensive global distribution and delivery network.”
