Watch Longhorns AD Chris Plonsky’s Keynote From CSVS Live Online, Tuesday June 7, 1pm ET
SVG, in cooperation with NewTek and Bexel, will stream Chris Plonsky’s keynote address at the College Sports Video Summit. Plonsky, women’s AD/senior associate AD, Athletics External Services for the University of Texas, will address the audience in Atlanta on Tuesday, June 7 at 1 p.m. ET. Join in remotely to get an inside look at the construction and evolution of the Longhorn Network, UT’s soon-to-be-launched dedicated television network, built in partnership with ESPN. You can access the live stream here:
Plonsky has spent more than 20 years at the University of Texas, the last nine as women’s athletics director. A former sports information director, she has served as UT’s liaison with multimedia-rights holder IMG College, which, with ESPN, is creating a dedicated TV network for UT sports and other campus content. The network is scheduled to launch in the fall. Plonsky and UT Athletics staff have spent nearly two decades working with IMG College, media partners, and production vendors to lay the groundwork that led to negotiating the rights for such a network. UT views the network as the ultimate branding and communication vehicle for the university. In her keynote address, Plonsky will discuss not only UT’s approach and philosophy to content creation and control but also how college professionals at every divisional level — from video coordinators to PR and marketing directors — can apply similar ideas to develop their own video-production and communications/branding strategy.
