NBA Digital Scores with Record-Breaking Success

NBA Digital continued to build off its regular season and postseason record-setting streak during The Finals with NBA.com delivering 141 million video streams and 401 million page views, an increase of 89% and 11%, respectively vs. last year’s records. NBA Mobile downloads for the NBA GameTime app were up 37% compared to last year, as well. NBA Digital provided extensive on-air, online and on mobile coverage of the Dallas Mavericks 4-2 series victory over the Miami Heat to claim the 2010-11 NBA Championship.

NBA TV delivered wall-to-wall coverage of The Finals including live on-site pregame and postgame shows featuring NBA TV’s arsenal of talent from Matt Winer, Rick Kamla, Kevin McHale, Chris Webber, Greg Anthony Steve Smith, Dennis Scott and Brent Barry to TNT analysts Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and NBA Insider David Aldridge. The network featured live on-site interviews with NBA Commissioner David Stern, new Golden State Warriors Head Coach Mark Jackson, Miami Heat forwards Chris Bosh and LeBron James and, following the Mavericks series clinching victory, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd.

NBA Mobile unveiled the newest addition to its bustling NBA GameTime portfolio with the launch of NBA GameTime on Microsoft Windows Phone.

  • NBA.com set all-time records for video streams and page views during the regular season and post season with 8 billion page views an increase of more than 33% and over 2.7 billion video streams, an increase of more than 133%.
  • NBA GameTime mobile app downloads delivered a 90% increase across all platforms from last year.
  • NBA GameTime, the league’s digital application, is now available on Apple TV, Google TV, Roku, Vizio, LG, iPhone, Android, Blackberry, iPad, Panasonic and Samsung, making it one of the most far-reaching sports applications.
