Sennheiser Debuts Evolution Wireless G3 100 Series Combo Kits at InfoComm
Sennheiser has introduced 12 new evolution wireless G3 100 Series combo kits at InfoComm 2011. The evolution wireless G3 100 Series allows musicians, vocalists and presenters to achieve flawless sound with features normally reserved for systems at twice its price point. The kits, which are available now, are suitable for a wide range of user applications and budgets. Each kit is equipped with the GA3 rack-mount kit and includes various lavaliers, the new EarSet ear-worn microphone or an additional handheld transmitter.

Sennheiser will also preview new firmware that allows its evolution Wireless ew 300 G3, ew 500 G3, and 2000 Series wireless systems to be networked and fully programmed without a computer. Small and medium-sized installations can now be set up more easily, rapidly and conveniently than ever before.
“The new firmware integrates key features from our Wireless System Manager (WSM) software into the receivers’ on-board Easy Setup menu,” explains Kevin Waehner, product manager for professional systems at Sennheiser’s U.S. headquarters. “Easy Setup will now allow users to easily program coordinated frequency presets into their linked receivers, using just the front panel controls on a single receiver.”
With ‘Stand-alone Network’ firmware, one receiver is defined as the master, which distributes the recommended results of an Easy Setup frequency scan into all networked receivers, connected via standard Ethernet cables and a switch. With this new functionality, complete frequency coordinations can be programmed on the fly, without the need for a computer running Wireless Systems Manager (WSM) software.
The new Stand-alone Network firmware will be available as a free download, starting this month at http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/sw-downloads.nsf/root/home-en.
