Rogers Joins T-VIPS America as Director of Sales, Mid-America Region

T-VIPS America, a professional video transport solutions for contribution, distribution, and digital terrestrial television company, announced that Scott Rogers has joined the company as Director of Sales – Mid-America. With over 19 years of professional sales experience in the broadcast television industry, Rogers is entrusted with expanding T-VIPS America Inc.’s market share across the Central U.S. region. T-VIPS offers a wide array of solutions for broadcast video contribution, terrestrial television, JPEG2000 based video transport over IP networks, and transport stream processing and monitoring.

In his new position, Roger’s responsibilities include expanding T-VIPS’ broadcast customer base—including station groups, independent stations, network operators and other key accounts through direct sales and channel marketing efforts—and developing new business sectors, such as stadium facilities and content providers.

“T-VIPS is a dynamic, fast-growing company focused on delivering advanced, affordableJPEG2000, video gateways, and solutions for IP networking, transport stream multiplexing, processing and monitoring for the broadcast and content creation industries,” said Rogers. “At a time when broadcast stations want to increase efficiencies and reduce operating expenses, T-VIPS delivers proven, easy-to-configure products that provide a seamless transition to a cost-effective, IP-based video infrastructure.”

In his new position, Rogers reports directly to Janne T. Morstøl, President of  T-VIPS America Inc. “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Scott to our U.S. sales team,” Morstol said. “With his extensive broadcast equipment sales experience and knowledge of the Central U.S. sales territory, Scott is well qualified to represent T-VIPS’ products and to expand our customer base. He fully understands the digital signal processing and workflow challenges at today’s broadcast facilities. He is uniquely qualified to demonstrate how T-VIPS’ products can improve the overall efficiency of their existing broadcast facility workflows.”

In a career spanning 19 years, Rogers has held high-level sales positions within many of the industry’s leading manufacturers, primarily across the Central U.S.  From 2007 to the present, he served as regional sales manager for the Mid-Central Region for Harris Corporation, promoting a range of DTV products including play-to-air master control and graphics systems, and fiber networking solutions. From 2001 to 2007, he served as regional sales manager for the North Central Region for Miranda Technologies.
