Grass Valley Adds Three Members to International Teams

Continuing to reinforce its regional Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services teams around the world, Grass Valley announced the addition of three new industry veterans to support customers throughout the Asia Pacific and Oceania regions. All bring a wealth of knowledge, strong business development skills, and local management experience to the team

Karlton Burn has joined the company as head of sales for the South Asian territory. In his new role, Burn will be responsible for direct customer interaction, as well as pre-sales activities. He most recently served as vice president of Global Sales and Marketing at QuStream. In the last 15 years in the region, Burn also served as Managing Director of Leitch Asia, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dayang International. Burn will be based in Singapore.

Joining Burn is Nick Morgan who has been tapped to lead the company’s Professional Services and Customer Support Group for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Morgan brings strong business development skills and professional services management experience to the team, having worked for more than 25 years in the local broadcast industry. He comes to Grass Valley from Avid, where he most recently served as that company’s director of its Professional Services group. He was also director of Business Development and Enterprise Operations.

Adding to its sales and marketing team in Australia, Matthew Christie has been appointed General Manager of the Oceania region. Christie will be responsible for managing the Grass Valley business and building its market share across the entire region. Christie, who is based in Sydney, comes to Grass Valley from CNBC Australia, where he served as Regional Manager for Australia and New Zealand, as well as Business Development Director for the Asia region. He has also previously worked as Group Sales Manager of Multimedia Channels at Foxtel, Advertising Manager at Australian Consolidated Press, and Sales Director of “On the Street” magazine.

“We are excited to welcome these fine individuals who have proven themselves admirably in their respective areas of expertise,” said Andrew Sedek, Senior Vice President for Grass Valley’s rapidly growing Asia Pacific region. “We anticipate great things as we continue to add new staff and expand the Asia Services team in order to meet and exceed Grass Valley’s goals and our customers’ expectations for a rewarding experience.”
