Fall Events Preview: Sports Venue Technology Summit

Target Field, home to the Minnesota Twins, will play host to the 2011 SVG Venue Technology Summit, the industry’s top event for sports venue video professionals, vendors, and service providers, on Nov. 16.

Attendees will learn about the technologies being utilized at the stadium via an in-depth overview and tour in the morning. Following a networking lunch SVG will conduct a series of afternoon panel discussions and presentations on the latest trends in venue video stadium and arena design.

Topics in the afternoon include:

Renovations: As it becomes more and more difficult for cities, states, and universities to get public financing for new stadiums and arenas a booming business in renovations is taking place. Learn how to get the most out of a renovation, bring an old facility into the digital age, and more.

Stadium Control Room Technologies: Stadium and arena scoreboard operations continue to become more sophisticated as they embrace HD and tapeless workflows. Learn about some of the newest philosophies in control room design from leading experts at venues and their technology partners.

The Connected Fan: Fans today demand more than just a seat and food. They are also looking for robust connectivity via WiFi and cellular services. Unfortunately, that is still easier said than done. Learn the latest in ways to deploy next-generation connectivity services within your venue efficiently and as affordably as possible.
