Grass Valley Brings Workflow Solutions to SMPTE

Grass Valley will demonstrate its latest file-based workflow tools at the upcoming Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers (SMPTE) 2011 Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition. The two-day event will be held on October 25-27 in Los Angeles, Calif.

With consumer demand for “TV Everywhere” content booming across the country, Grass Valley will show how content producers, including live sports and entertainment professionals, can do their job faster and more efficiently using the Grass Valley K2 Dyno Replay System in tandem with other products. As part of the SMPTE exhibition, the system will be demonstrated tightly interfaced to Grass Valley K2 Dyno Production Assistant (PA) content management system and a MediaFUSE automated content repurposing and multi-distribution system to highlight its cost-effective advantages for TV, web, and mobile video content production.

Among the applications to be spotlighted is the automatic publishing of multiple clips for simultaneous video-on-demand (VOD) consumption on wireless tablets and wired PCs.

The Grass Valley K2 Dyno Replay System consists of the K2 Dyno Replay Controller coupled with either a K2 Summit production client or K2 Solo server. It is designed to help sports producers and other professionals capture live events in crystal-clear HD resolutions and instantly play them out at variable speeds for critical analysis during fast-paced events.
