TV Azteca Goes 3D with Ross Video

TV Azteca, one of Mexico’s largest Television Stations began regular 3DTV transmissions in August 2011 with Ross Video’s XPression Character Generator and Carbonite Production Switcher.

Ross Video and their local rep in Mexico, Sistemas Digitales partnered with TV Azteca providing an XPression CG and Carbonite switcher configured to their expectations. TV Azteca is a current user of Ross’ CrossOver and Vision Production Switchers, XPression CG, and is the first Television Station in Mexico using an OverDrive Automated Production Control System for their News.

“We face up this project with two more purposes: The audience enjoyment, and to avoid sicknesses and headaches delivering a good stereoscopic quality image,” said Ruben Centineo, 3D Project Manager, TV Azteca.

“Together with Sistemas Digitales, we were able to supply TV Azteca with equipment and a working solution to be able to broadcast in 3D,” said Juan Carlos Ortolan, Director of Sales – Latin America, Ross Video. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with TV Azteca and providing them with quality service and equipment.”
