Elemental Surpasses 100 Enterprise Customers

Elemental Technologies has secured more than 100 enterprise customers since the launch of its professional product line in 2010. Marquee customers include Comcast, ESPN, and HBO.

In 2011, Elemental tripled its revenue year-over-year, nearly doubled its employee headcount and garnered new market share in Europe and Latin America. Elemental announced the opening of its first international office, based in the United Kingdom, in the summer of 2011. The expansion of Elemental’s business to Europe is coupled with significant customer wins among leading media and entertainment companies in the region such as TF1 Group and Eurosport in France, WRN Broadcast in England, QVC in Italy, and VMMa, (Flemish Media Company) in Belgium.

Elemental also carried international growth into Latin America in 2011 with Terra, the largest provider of Internet services in Latin America. Terra used Elemental Live to create high quality video streams of the 2011 Pan American games for a worldwide viewing audience.

“It’s been a remarkable year in the video streaming market as all content providers seek to deliver premium content to the user’s screen of choice,” said Sam Blackman, CEO and co-founder of Elemental Technologies. “We believe 2011 was a landmark year in the video space and Elemental looks forward to playing a fundamental role in helping our customers perfect the media experience in years to come.”

During the year, Elemental was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of America’s most promising companies in America and by Streaming Media as among the companies that matter most in online video. Most recently, Elemental was named to Oregon Business Magazine’s 2012 list of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon.
