Campus Clips: Patriot League All-Access Back for Sixth Season; D-III Oberlin College Debuts HD Web Stream

With the Patriot League men’s and women’s basketball schedules set to open this weekend, the conference will again offer live coverage on high-speed broadband through the All-Access package provided by the League and CBS Interactive. The All-Access package is available for a price of $7.95 per month, which allows subscribers to see the multi-camera action of all available Patriot League basketball games as well as the archived content for past games. This marks the sixth season for Patriot League All-Access, which includes more than 100 men and women’s basketball games and a variety of Patriot League Championship events…

…The Oberlin College athletics department added its name to the shortlist of NCAA Division III schools offering live HD web streaming of its athletics contests when it carried a men’s basketball game against Anderson University last Friday. The remainder of the men’s and women’s basketball home games, as well as the remaining home swim meet on January 13, will be streamed live in 720p. The school also anticipates providing a free live stream of select spring sports…

…Central Connecticut has reached an agreement with CPTV Sports to televise a minimum of seven home men’s and women’s basketball games, beginning with tonight’s NEC men’s basketball tilt between the Blue Devils and St. Francis (PA). The games will be televised live on CPTV Sports, previously named the Connecticut Sports Network, and will be available to subscribers of both Cox and Comcast throughout Connecticut…

…Ball State Sports Link has expanded to include a total of 27 students — including three BSU student-athletes — earning academic credit for the Spring 2012 semester.  The program will total over 30 as additional students will assist with live productions and as part of Sports Link Radio on WCRD. Kyle Binder, Joel Bragg, Paul Brown, Brad Dailey, Jarrod Jones, Tim Keane, Brandon Scott, Ben Wagner, and Paul Weller are the program’s returning seniors, while seniors Alberto Pimienta and Andrew Cook are among the 10 new members to the team in 2012…

…Mississippi State has renamed its athletics website to HailState.com. In addition, MSU’s premium online streaming service is also getting a new moniker. Maroon to the Max is now HailStateTV. New video players have been installed on HailState.com – both on the homepage and each individual sport page. The new web address was launched Wednesday, replacing mstateathletics.com which had been State’s internet home for over a decade.
