CP Communications Adds OCC Fiber to Rental Stock

CP Communications, providers of fiber optic equipment and rentals for broadcasting and entertainment, chose the newest bend-tolerant fiber technology from Optical Cable Corporation (OCC) for its rental stock. CP will be adding 100,000 feet of Tactical 12 fiber to inventory immediately.

“This newest technology and advancements made by OCC give us what we need in glass: helically stranded fiber that gives excellent flexibility and deployment survivability,” says Kurt Heitmann, SVP of sales and marketing. “The cable has a  ruggedized jacket to minimize abrasion and cuts and  has chemical resistance.  Our cable will survive the harshest installations. It can be deployed and retrieved as often as needed.

“This newest investment will replace older tactical 12 cable  lengths of  1500’ runs,” he continues. “We recognize and have heard what our clients want and we are delivering on that promise by offering the best technologies available.”
