Campus Clips: Raycom Sports’ Football Saturdays in the South Returns for Ninth Season; ESPN3 to Carry MAC Football Media Day

Raycom Sports’ summer television series, Havoline Football Saturdays in the South, begins its ninth season this weekend. The series, with six one-hour episodes, is hosted by Tim Brando and syndicated in 73 markets throughout the country. Check local listings for airtimes

…The Mid-American Conference and ESPN have announced that MAC Football Media Day will stream live nationally on ESPN3. The event will highlight the league’s annual kickoff event on Tuesday, July 24th at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. MAC Media Day coverage on ESPN3 will kick off a record number of exclusive MAC events available live on the network with over 15 games scheduled for the upcoming season. The event will be carried live from 8:30 a.m. – Noon ET and will feature each of the league’s head coaches as well as selected student-athletes from the 13 football institutions…

…The Southern Conference and ESPN announced that Montana versus Appalachian State football game will kick off at 4:30 p.m. MT on Sept. 8, and be televised nationally on ESPN GamePlan and ESPN3. The telecast will be produced as part of the SoCon’s live broadcast agreement with ESPN…

…Outdoor hockey is coming to Chicago’s Soldier Field for the first time in the venue’s history. On Feb. 17, 2013, the home of the NFL’s Bears will play host to the inaugural Hockey City Classic – an outdoor college hockey doubleheader featuring the University of Notre Dame vs. Miami University and University of Minnesota vs. University of Wisconsin. Game times will be announced at a later date.
