ONE CONNXT Delivers From Asia to U.S. and Beyond

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome ONE CONNXT as a corporate sponsor.

A division of ONE Media Corp., the end-to-end HD/SD content-distribution service provides high-quality live and recorded video programming virtually anywhere in the world at a significant saving over satellite or fiber. Via ONE CONNXT, video can be delivered either point-to-point or point-to-multipoint using the company’s proprietary IP solutions.

ONE CONNXT was created when ONE Media Corp. needed a cost-effective solution to deliver programming from Asia to the U.S. for ONE World Sports. Although other Internet transport systems were available, they did not achieve the high standards of quality and reliability of traditional broadcast methods. ONE CONNXT premiered in July 2011 and, little over a year later, has proved itself a leader in broadcast delivery.

“We are delighted to be a sponsor of the Sports Video Group,” says Dave Almstead, CEO of ONE Media Corp. “The Sports Video Group allows us to work with other professionals to bring viewers the highest quality of sports programming available. ONE CONNXT fits right into this scenario. It is a highly flexible method of broadcast transport that can send sports video from virtually anywhere in the world at a price that is reasonable. More important, from the perspective of the viewer, ONE CONNXT delivers sports content with the quality and reliability that is unrivaled in the broadcast industry.”

ONE CONNXT has successfully delivered sports content over the global long haul for such large-scale events as the Emirates Australian Open golf tournament and the Volvo Ocean Race. The ONE CONNXT system currently moves content originating in Southeast Asia to Australia, North America, and Canada. It now includes a new point of presence (PoP) in the OC Hub in eastern Central Europe.

A leader in broadcast delivery, ONE CONNXT recently introduced its GEN 3 delivery technology and Cloud Services Platform. The third-generation ONE CONNXT system provides more-efficient encoding and upgraded compression capabilities. The Cloud Services Platform allows regional time shifting with anytime-playback capability.
