Catterson, who has served as CMC’s Senior Director of Broadcast Engineering since joining the company in 2004, has nearly 25year’s experience in designing and building innovative, award-winning video facilities, including production studios, audio and video editing facilities and multichannel master control rooms for TV networks.

From one location, West Works Studios provides large HD production studios, video/audio edit suites, advanced motion graphics, streaming capabilities and an on-site satellite/fiber teleport for content distribution. Servicing national and local customers throughout the Rocky Mountain region for nearly 20 years, West Work Studios executes across a variety of genres and formats specializing in HD and 3D.

“Paul Catterson has been leading the way in designing and implementing innovative solutions for producing, managing and delivering digital video content,” said Richard Buchanan, Vice President & General Manager of Content Services for CMC.   “While we have been providing digital video production and post-production services since the early days of digital video, organizing and operating as West Works Studios under Paul’s leadership underscores our focus on serving the video content community and other businesses in need of video production and distribution services.”

As CMC’s Senior Director of Broadcast Engineering, Catterson is responsible for directing the teams that design and build new systems as well as provide technical support to the Origination, Production, Post-Production, Dub/Encode and Interactive operations.  Catterson’s teams include the 24x7x365 on-air maintenance team, an in-house Broadcast Systems Integration team, a Digital Content Management group, and the Software Solutions Group, tasked with the development of software tools for the benefit of CMC’s internal staff and industry customers alike.

Prior to joining the CMC, Paul served as the Director of Project Operations for The Systems Group, a broadcast systems integration and consulting firm in Hoboken, New Jersey.  There, he managed the successful execution of dozens of world-class facility builds in the metropolitan NY area, other top markets throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, the Philippines and Singapore.

“Our total package of content solutions, empowered by a cadre of highly experienced video production and editing professionals affiliated with our facility, really sets West Works Studios apart from many other facilities, both locally and across the country,” said Catterson.  “In addition to our role in assisting the area’s local production community in providing media everywhere solutions to their clients, we represent a cost effective and highly comparable alternative to facilities operating on the Coasts.”
