Story Highlights
The following is a press release from Japan Display, the entity that pools resources from Sony, Toshiba, and Hitachi, that was released on October 25:
- To be exhibited at FPD International Japan 2012 -
Tokyo, October 25, 2012. Japan Display Inc. (JDI), a global leader in LCD technologies, has developed a new paper-like color reflective LCD, which has very low power consumption* and can display moving pictures.
A key technology is an optical property optimization adopting a newly-developed scattering layer. Another key technology is fabricating SRAMs in each pixel using LTPS technology so that power is minimized for non-changing screen images.
JDI will demonstrate it in booth #2701 at FPD International Japan 2012, held October 31 through November 2, 2012, in Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama, Japan.
