Zixi Powers XOS Digital Video Production Processes

XOS Digital has implemented Zixi at the core of its content ingest, production, and distribution system. Using unmanaged Internet Protocol (IP) networks, XOS Digital has successfully deployed Zixi to transport studio-quality gameday video to XOS Digital’s data center and editing studios for real-time processing. XOS Digital will also utilize Zixi to stream HD video to its content-delivery networks, affiliates, and Internet users. As content moves through XOS Digital’s workflow, it utilizes Zixi’s reliable IP-based transport, delivering cost savings and production flexibility.

XOS Digital serves sports fans, coaches and collegiate sports conferences including the Southeastern Conference, the BIG EAST conference, and NCAA Football. XOS Digital also manages the XOS Digital Sports Network, with official conference and team-branded channels on YouTube. On a typical Saturday during the college football season, XOS Digital ingests approximately 80 games across the country from a mixture of satellite feeds and onsite video encoders.  XOS Digital relies on Zixi Feeders to transport HD video streams from sites to its studios in Lake Mary, FL.  In Lake Mary, Zixi Broadcasters are used to direct multiple streams to Zixi Receivers at various locations that provide HD video to XOS Digital’s content-delivery network, video-on-demand servers and media servers serving live content to Internet users.
