YES Network Nominated for 34 New York Emmy Awards

The YES Network, the most-watched regional sports network in the country the past 10 years, was nominated for 34 New York Emmy Awards, an increase from the 31 nominations it received last year.  YES now has 300 Emmy nominations since its 2002 launch.  YES’ excellence was recognized across a variety of categories, including live game production (both the Yankees and the Nets), business and entertainment programming, features, on-air talent, promotions, and crafts such as graphics and editing.

“Our 34 Emmy nominations are validation from our peers of the sustained level of excellence maintained by our team here, both in front of and behind the camera,” said John J. Filipelli, president, production and programming, YES Network.  “We are proud and humbled by this recognition.  The fact that YES is represented in so many categories across the board speaks to the depth of our offerings, and the tireless, selfless work put forth by everyone at YES.”

In less than 11 years since the network’s launch, YES has won a total of 60 Emmy Awards through last year’s competition.  The 56th annual New York Emmy Awards will be announced Sunday, April 14, at a dinner in New York City.
