Nevion to Share Media Transport Vision at HPA Tech Retreat

Experts from Nevion will be speaking about next-generation managed media transport at the 2013 HPA Tech Retreat, taking place this week in Indian Wells, CA. The industry event is first in the United States for the new company since the merger between media transport pioneers Nevion and T-VIPS was completed.

At the HPA (Hollywood Post Alliance) event, Nevion business development director John McCluskey will discuss forwarding digital intermediates (DIs) over IP. Entitled “Digital Intermediates Exchange Network,” the presentation will take place at 4.15pm on Thursday February 21.

McCluskey’s presentation will examine how IP and Ethernet networks combined with JPEG 2000 compression can provide the high video quality and low latency needed for exchanging DIs while delivering significant cost savings and increased flexibility. It will also explore how management and control solutions can enhance and streamline workflows for remote color correction, reviews and dailies.
