iStreamPlanet Exec To Address OTT Live Linear at 2013 OTTCON

iStreamPlanet, a leading provider of live event and live linear streaming video solutions, announced that Robin Cole, vice president of products and services, will give a talk at 2013 OTTCON titled “OTT Live Linear: Where Is It Going, and How Do You Get There?” The session will take place March 19 from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif., and will focus on how to successfully deliver live linear TV programming to connected devices.

An industry veteran, Cole will discuss the challenges inherent in live linear streaming, including scalability for taking on new content quickly; managing and monitoring to ensure an experience on par with traditional broadcast quality; and cost-effectiveness and ROI. As part of that discussion, Cole will reveal the business-critical factors involved in successfully bringing OTT live linear channels to connected devices. Additionally, Cole will explore the dynamics of the industry through questions such as “Who will bring live linear channels online first?”
