Paul Turner Joins Telestream as VP of Enterprise Product Management

Telestream, a leading provider of digital media tools and workflow solutions, announced expansion of the executive management team as industry veteran Paul Turner joins the company in a new role as Vice President of Enterprise Product Management. Turner brings more than 30 years of leadership in the broadcast and video technology industry in Europe and the USA. In addition, Paul has served for several years on the Board of Directors for the Advanced Media Workflow Association, and has published over a dozen technical papers on a variety of industry topics. As Vice President of Enterprise Product Management, Turner will lead Telestream’s global product and market strategy efforts for the company’s enterprise products.

“We are thrilled to have Paul join our executive team and for him to bring an even broader market view to our product strategies”, said Dan Castles, CEO at Telestream. “Paul’s vision and proven experience will help us continue to meet today’s customer needs while also enabling us to address new applications with our technologies.”

Prior to joining Telestream, Turner served as Vice President of Broadcast Market Development for Omneon server and transcoding products, now part of Harmonic Inc., where he represented the company on several industry bodies and advised customers on file-based workflows. Turner started his career as an engineer at the BBC, and since that time has held engineering and senior management positions both in the USA and the UK at the Grass Valley Group, and several other broadcast manufacturers, including Abekas Video Systems, Scitex Digital Video, Sony Electronics and Pinnacle Systems.

“I’m extremely excited to be joining such a dynamic company,” said Turner.  “Telestream is well recognized for its innovative products, and the breadth of its media workflow expertise is unmatched. If you couple these two aspects together, you discover a company with the ability to greatly improve the efficiency and management of the world’s most complicated media workflows.”

Turner received a B.Eng (hons) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Liverpool. He joins Telestream effective April 22.
