Thailand-Based Walailak University Installs Ross Video Carbonite Switcher

Walailak University has installed a Ross Video Carbonite 1M Production Switcher for classroom training and broadcasting. Located in Nakorn si Thammarat, Thailand, Walailak is a public university that offers programs ranging from medical science to arts. The Ross Carbonite switcher is being used in Walailak University’s broadcasting program, where students are being taught various productions and workflows for producing live HD programs.
“Our investment in Carbonite was a logical choice as it provides more powerful features than we’ve ever imagined,” said Asso. Prof. Dr. Poonpong Boonbrahm, Dean, School of Informatics, Walailak University.  “The system will definitely benefit our scholars, as they are given the chance to learn in a live production control room environment using the latest technology. I look forward to continuing our relationship with Ross Video in the future.”

Ross’ Carbonite exceeded Walailak University’s expectations with capabilities such as the built in MultiViewer, four channels of DVE, and free software upgrades for life.

“Ross Video’s Carbonite switcher series can be found in every major Asia Pacific country at various market verticals,” said Dae Yung Choe, Vice President of Sales of Asia Pacific/Oceanic, Ross Video. “The power, affordability, ease of use, and design is backed by the best after sales support in the industry, making Carbonite a clear and easy choice for this region.”
