Sports Broadcasting Fund Accepting Applications from Oklahoma
The Sports Broadcasting Fund is requesting that any sports broadcasting professionals, freelancers, or employees of equipment manufacturers or production companies impacted by the terrible tornados of May 20 apply for assistance in the coming days.
“The Sports Broadcasting Fund was established for just sort of events,” says Ken Kerschbaumer, Sports Broadcasting Fund, co-administrator. “It is unclear if there is any need for assistance from our community but we want anyone in the area to know we are waiting to assist as best we can.”
All applicants will require a second industry associate to fill out the application to verify its legitimacy. There is a pre-determined limit to the amount of assistance that can be supplied but the goal is to be available to help with temporary housing payments and other short-term needs.
“The Oklahoma tornado is a reminder that catastrophe can strike anyone at anytime,” says Tom Sahara, SVG Chairman. “In a matter of moments it completely changes a person’s life. The Sports Broadcasting Fund is accepting applications from industry professionals affected by this and other devastating events, natural and otherwise. Please visit www.sportsbroadcastingfund.org for more information and to donate to the fund.”
