NCAA.com Launches Mobile App for 2013 Men’s College World Series

College baseball fans attending the 2013 NCAA Men’s College World Series (June 15-25/26) in Omaha will have all the event information at their fingertips courtesy of a new free app available for iPhone, iPod touch, and select Android devices.  The NCAA Men’s College World Series app will include complete tournament and Fan Fest schedules, interactive maps, news, live scores, ticket information, social media integration, and more.

“The NCAA Men’s College World Series App is a great mobile companion for the college baseball fan that is heading to Omaha this year,” said Mark Johnson, vice president of business operations for Turner Sports/NCAA Digital. “Event schedules, maps, live scores and even event history and trivia can be accessed from a fan’s iPhone, iPod touch or select Android smartphone while they enjoy all the College World Series has to offer.”

The NCAA Men’s College World Series App will include:

— A daily event schedule providing fans with times, locations, directions/maps and lists of all the tournament’s festivities including the opening ceremony, Fan Fest, games and more.

— Live scores for all Men’s College World Series games.

— Tournament facts and history, along with trivia to test fans’ Men’s College World Series knowledge.

— An interactive map with venue-specific information, along with details on fan gatherings, local attractions and merchandise outlets within the venue.

— A visitor’s guide to Omaha containing information about restaurants, hotels, transit, and points of interest around the city.

— “Social Sharing” allowing fans to connect the app to Facebook and Twitter and share photos, videos, and articles with other college baseball fans.

In addition to the College World Series app, NCAA.com will provide content throughout the tournament including editorial coverage, score updates, real-time game highlights, post-game photo galleries, press conferences, and more.
