Daktronics Lights Up NACDA Convention with Salute Concert for the Wounded Warrior Project

Daktronics is partnering with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and its affiliate associations to sponsor the Salute Concert for the Wounded Warrior Project taking place at the NACDA Convention in Orlando, Fla. this week. In addition to serving as a sponsor of the concert, Daktronics has been a sponsor of the NACDA Convention for more than 20 years.

“Last year we had the opportunity to be the inaugural presenting sponsor for the concert during the NACDA Convention in Dallas, where the proceeds went directly to the men and women of the Wounded Warrior Project,” said Kyle Adams, Daktronics sales representative. “These are the people who sacrifice themselves to protect our country and we are honored to once again sponsor this event in Orlando. We hope all NACDA and affiliate members will help us again this year in doing our part to support this organization as they provide assistance to our military when they return home.”

The full sponsorship includes the Salute Concert for the Wounded Warrior Project, LED product provided in the foyer to help with event announcements among other Convention messages and a Convention presence in Booth 515 where the company will be displaying the most recent products and trends in the LED industry.

“As one of NACDA’s longest tenured major sponsors, it is fitting that Daktronics replicate its entitlement of NACDA’s Second Annual Salute Concert for the Wounded Warrior Project,” stated NACDA Executive Director Bob Vecchione. “The addition of the concert at Convention to support our charitable organization of choice has been great for our attendees and something we look forward to continuing with both entities in the future.”

The LED product in the foyer at the Convention includes Daktronics new Street Furniture product with tight 6 millimeter line spacing covered by a glass enclosure, a main video display featuring technology with exceptionally tight 4 millimeter line spacing and a scorer’s table featuring technology with 10 millimeter line spacing.

Daktronics Creative Services produces a large amount of content for all of the LED displays in the foyer, along with content for the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup and the James J. Corbett Memorial Awards luncheons. Daktronics, in conjunction with NACDA, will provide personnel to direct and produce both luncheons. In addition, Creative Services will provide additional content for the Salute Concert, along with personnel that will direct and produce the concert.

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
