Alpha Video Sports Expanding HuskerVision at University of Nebraska’s New Pinnacle Bank Arena

The Alpha Video Sports and Entertainment Group has been selected by the University of Nebraska to upgrade and expand their HuskerVision facility at Memorial Stadium to support the addition of the new Pinnacle Bank Arena.

AlphaVideoThe Pinnacle Bank Arena, scheduled for completion in August of this year, will be the new home of Nebraska Men’s and Women’s Basketball. The Sports Group previously performed a complete HD upgrade of HuskerVision’s facility in 2009.

The project includes infrastructure expansion at the existing HuskerVision facility including a routing switcher upgrade and new fiber optic transport equipment. At the Arena, Alpha Video Sports will integrate a small HD sub-control room, additional fiber optic transport equipment and several POV cameras throughout the facility.

“The Alpha Video Group has been involved in nearly all of our production facility projects through the years,” says Shot Kleen, Assistant Athletic Director for HuskerVision. “Their great staff stays in tune with all of the rapid changes in technology, enabling us to be a leader in college sports production. Completion of this project will allow us to use our main HuskerVision control room in Memorial Stadium as a central hub to produce big screen events for football, men¹s and women¹s basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball.  Jeff Volk’s team takes pride in their work and it certainly shows in our big screen and TV show productions.”

Work is currently underway on the project and is scheduled to be complete in August of this year.

“We are extremely pleased to continue our relationship with the University of Nebraska and HuskerVision,” says Jeffrey Volk, Director of Alpha Video Sports. “The additions to their production facility will bring a new level of in-game entertainment to fans of both men’s and women’s Husker Basketball and enhances what was already considered one of the most advanced college athletic department production facilities in the nation.”
