XOS Digital Promotes Industry Vets Brett Hammond and Joe Marinaro

XOS Digital Inc., a leading provider of content management solutions and digital coaching technology for collegiate and professional sports organizations, announced the promotions of two long-term employees. Brett Hammond was promoted to executive vice president of sales and global revenue and Joe Marinaro was promoted to vice president of sales – team technologies. The announcement was made today by Matt Bairos, CEO, XOS Digital.

“Both Brett and Joe have dedicated much of their professional careers to XOS Digital and have seen the company evolve while serving in a variety of capacities,” Bairos said. “I am confident they will both continue to experience the success they have set as a precedent in their careers thus far.”

Hammond rejoined XOS Digital in 2011 as senior vice president of sales after serving the company from 2002-2009 in various roles including account manager, regional sales manager, director of sales and most recently, senior vice president of worldwide sales overseeing XOS Digital’s team technology business.

Throughout his career at XOS, he has led numerous sales and event marketing initiatives for the team technologies group including the successful positioning of the XOS Thunder Football HD coaching platform to its current No. 1 market share status.

“Brett’s extensive career at XOS Digital and proven 15-year track record is a testament to his great understanding of the sport technology market and his strengths in molding and motivating a sales team,” Bairos said. “In addition to continuing to supervise our expanding coaching technologies, we are excited to also focus Brett’s expertise on our licensing business.”

Hammond holds a Bachelor of Science in sports management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he earned three varsity letters as a member of the football team. He currently resides in Westford, MA, with his wife and their two children.

Joe Marinaro started his career in the sports industry beginning with Avid Sports in 1998 and through acquisitions joined XOS Digital in 2005. While working through the ranks in various roles, Marinaro has worked with virtually every major collegiate conference and professional team through sales and account management.

When the XOS sales team instituted their current regional sales model in 2009, Marinaro oversaw the Northeast region. In 2012, he moved into his most recent role, director of sales, to expand, manage, and mentor the sales team for the East Coast.

“I’ve been lucky enough to work with Joe since we were both with Avid Sports,” Bairos said. “Joe has wonderful relationships with our entire customer base, and I know he will continue to lead by example with the team as he transitions to oversee all sales initiatives for the team technology group as XOS Digital’s new vice president of sales.”

Marinaro holds a Bachelor of Science in communications from the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the football team for four years and elected captain his senior year. He currently resides in Windham, NH, with his wife and their three children.
