Behind the Mic: Report Says Olbermann Could Return to ESPN; Fox Adds New Faces to Regis Philbin’s Crowd Goes Wild on FS1

ESPN is reportedly interested in bringing Keith Olbermann back to Bristol after a decade-and-a-half absence. According to the New York Daily News sources, ESPN is in serious discussions with Olbermann to host a New York-based late night talk show on ESPN2. The sources said the situation was still “very fluid” and no decision on green-lighting Olbermann or the project had been made. The move is likely a response to Fox Sports’ ultra-hyped launch of its FS1 cable sports network. Hellie joins NFL Network after seven years at the NBC station WRC-TV News 4 in Washington, D.C., where he served as the Sports Director and weekday sports anchor. Hellie hosted Redskins Showtime, the Redskins Coaches Show, Sports Final, Daily Connection. Prior to joining WRC-TV, Hellie worked as a news anchor at WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando, Fla.
