Broadcast Services International Supplies Total Facilities for Japanese Broadcaster at World Track and Field Championships

At the World Track and Field Championships in Moscow this month, Broadcast Services International (BSI) Canada will again supply the total technical facilities for Tokyo Broadcasting Systems of Japan.

With three Fly Pac control rooms, a large central core and EVS network as well as regular tape play out and a variety of stadium and ENG cameras, TBS will again be the largest broadcaster at this year’s World Championships. Not only has BSI Canada supplied and built the facilities within the IBC, they are also providing unilateral Marathon coverage with microwave links and motocam facilities as well as uplinks for Morning Show inserts from Red Square.

At the core of the system is a large Miranda NVision router, including video and audio glue as well as Sony 6530 and 3000 Vision mixers, Lawo mc 56/66 Audio consoles, and a dozen Sony 1500 cameras. All this required a huge variety of multiviewers spread across the three control and tape rooms as well as production and technical quality control areas.

Through her sister company RF Wireless; BSI Canada has supplied the latest in land based microwave links to facilitate coverage by TBS’s unilateral Moto Camera Bike of the races.

Using just two rooftop receive setups BSI will be able to supply full course coverage of unparaled quality.
