Karen McCone Joins ATEME as VP, Media Accounts
ATEME, a global leader in advanced video compression solutions for the broadcast industry, announced that Karen McCone, a well-known and respected broadcast and media sales and marketing executive, has joined ATEME as its vice president, media accounts for the Americas region, reporting to Mike Antonovich, SVP and general manager, Americas.
McCone has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience with companies as diverse as Aldea Solutions. Kangaroo TV, Verisign, Pittsburgh International Teleport, Invidex, Microcell Telecommunications, and Spectra Telecommunications. She has taken an active part in launching major compressed digital video networks across Europe and the Americas. She was involved in delivering prominent events such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the 2011 Pan American Games and the 2012 London Olympics to broadcasters in Latin America.
In her new role, McCone will bring the ATEME compressed digital video solutions to major media clients across Canada and the northeast United States. She will continue to build upon the relationships she has developed through the years of customer service excellence in satellite, cable, fiber, and broadband service, and the emerging opportunities in streaming and file-based media deployments.
