T3Media Inks Footage Licensing Deal with PGA Tour
Cloud-based video management and licensing services provider T3Media (formerly Thought Equity Motion), has signed a footage licensing agreement with the PGA TOUR. T3Media will market, administer, and license the PGA TOUR Archive, which includes historic and current footage from the PGA TOUR, some of which was shot in 4K.
“With T3Media’s advanced technology we are able to bring our archive online and open it up for new uses by sports producers worldwide,” says Rick Anderson, EVP, Television and Digital Media at the PGA TOUR. “The FedExCup Playoffs begin August 22nd at The Barclays and we are looking forward to giving the production community access to footage from the entire 2013 FedExCup Playoffs and upcoming 2013-2014 PGA TOUR season faster than ever before. As the entertainment market continues to grow, our archive will be an important asset for TV producers, filmmakers and commercial production companies.”
The PGA TOUR Archive features clips as well as long form programming from the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour, Web.com Tour, NEC Series-PGA TOUR Latinoamérica, and PGA TOUR Canada. The world’s largest golf archive includes shots of every PGA TOUR player, including the stars of both the past and present as well as crowd shots and scenic nature and wildlife footage from the course. The PGA TOUR Archive has footage dating back to the 1960s and newly shot 4K content will be added as it becomes available.
“We are excited to expand our library of professional golf footage with the PGA TOUR Archive,” says Kevin Schaff, CEO and Founder of T3Media. “We are looking forward to growing the value of the PGA TOUR’s rights and delivering its content to the production community faster than ever before.”
