BizJournals.com reports that

Bill Gates is inventing stuff again, and he’s got a pretty impressive team helping him out.

Gates is one of a group that includes Intellectual Ventures co-founder and CEO (and former Microsoft chief technology officer) Nathan Myhrvold and eight other people with impressive backgrounds in aerospace engineering, astrophysics, laser research and patent law. They are all listed as inventors on a patent application recently filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which was reported Tuesday morning by Bloomberg News.
