APM Music Delivers New Monday Night Football Theme

ESPN kicks off Monday Night Football on September 9  at 7:00 pm ET with a much anticipated new season opener and an updated version of the well-known Monday Night Football Theme “Heavy Action” created by Resonate Music Group, the boutique custom division of APM Music.

The new opening, produced by Actor/Director Peter Berg — whose credits include The Kingdom, Friday Night Lights, the upcoming Lone Survivor, and ESPN’s first 30 for 30 documentary, Kings Ransom — has been in the works for nine months with the debut set to showcase Monday Night Football’s significance in our culture.

The new ESPN intro presents a timeline of MNF’s 44-year history by combining some of football’s most memorable games with images of cultural milestones from the past four-and-a-half decades. Resonate Music Group created a customized mash-up of APM Music’s “Heavy Action” recordings from the last 30 years to help feature the montage of historic moments.
