Venue Technology Summit Program Announced

Mark your calendar for Tuesday Oct. 22 for Sports Video Group’s Venue Technology Summit at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Home of the Brooklyn Nets and host to a multitude of headlining concerts and live events, the 675,000-sq.-ft. venue was built to cater to the modern fan, offering massive video and LED boards, a thunderous sound system, and mobile-device connectivity throughout the arena.

The program begins at 10 a.m. with a Barclays Center Welcome and Overview, followed by tours of the venue and a networking lunch. After lunch, the day continues with panel discussions: Venue Perspectives New York City; In-Venue WiFi, DAS, and Apps: Delivering Fan Satisfaction; Maximize Your Technology Investment: Audience Experience and Public Safety; Today’s Scoreboard Control Rooms: The Systems Integrator Perspective; and Venue Audio: Getting It Right. The day concludes with a networking reception.

“New York City’s professional sports venues are some of the newest and technically advanced in the country,” says Conference Chairman Rick Price. “Come take a tour of Barclays Center and learn from the others what makes the fan experience in the Big Apple so sweet.”

Following previous summits at Marlins Park, Target Field, MetLife Stadium, and AT&T Stadium (formerly Cowboys Stadium), this annual event will focus on ways broadcasters and venues can work more closely together and will provide plenty of time for networking with industry executives, colleagues, and potential clients.

There is abundant public transportation to and from the arena, including numerous subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road.
