Chris Hannan Promoted to FOX Sports Executive Vice President of Communications and Integration

FOX Sports announced today that Chris Hannan, formerly Senior Vice President, FOX Sports Media Group, has been named to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, Communications and Integration.  Hannan will continue to report to FOX Sports Co-Presidents and COOs Randy Freer and Eric Shanks.

FoxLogoIn this new role, Hannan will have oversight of the FOX Sports public relations and corporate communications teams, where he will be responsible for the development of key strategic communications initiatives and cross-platform efforts on behalf of FOX Sports’ portfolio of businesses.  Hannan will also work to ensure that FOX Sports is maximizing its communications assets across television, digital, mobile, radio and social media to support its national and local telecasts on FOX Sports, FOX Sports 1, and FOX Sports Regional Networks.

Hannan is a 16-year veteran of FOX Sports.  Most recently, he oversaw marketing for FOX Sports Regional Networks, where he provided support for advertising sales, on-air promotions, and consumer marketing across the company’s leading group of owned-and-operated regional sports networks.  Hannan also spearheaded the integration of FOX Sports’ RSN assets in support of the successful launch of FOX Sports 1, and he was instrumental in FOX Sports’ early efforts to integrate social media within live telecasts.  Among Hannan’s most significant achievements has been the development of Fox’s Creative University program, now expanded to 20 universities.  Hannan joined FOX Sports in 1997 and has held a variety of key positions since, including vice president of on-air promotions and senior vice president of marketing.

Hannan has been honored for his work in sports media and marketing on numerous occasions. In 2012, Hannan was named to Sports Business Journal’s prestigious 40 Under 40 list.  He has also won more than 25 Promax, Telly, and Addy awards for his work with FOX Sports.

Hannan attended Syracuse University in New York, where he graduated with a B.S. in Communications and Rhetorical Studies. He is also a member of the Syracuse University Athletic Advisory Board and serves on the After-School All-Stars Marketing Advisory Board.
