Linear Acoustic to Show Growing Product Portfolio at CCW

The 2013 Content and Communications World (CCW) Expo is just around the corner, November 13-14, 2013 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, and Linear Acoustic is excited to be attending once again this year. Linear Acoustic representatives will be available at Booth 918 to provide in-depth demonstrations of its growing product line including the AERO.100 DTV Audio Processor, AERO.lite SDI Loudness Controller, and UPMAX v4 Surroundfield Controller.
AERO.100 DTV Audio Processor
The AERO.100 is a cost-effective 1RU unit that packs a punch, supported by a 10 channel (5.1+2+2) configuration and loaded with features.
The AERO.100 comes standard with AEROMAX loudness control, upmixing/downmixing via UPMAX II, Dolby Digital (AC-3) and Dolby E decoding, Dolby Digital (AC-3) encoding, video delay, Linear Acoustic Intelligent Dynamics (ID), and an advanced ITU (AI) limiter which allows a loudness target to be set, leaving the AERO.100 to do the rest.
“We created AERO.100 with affordability in mind,” said Christina Carroll, Linear Acoustic VP/Executive Director. “We know broadcasters are working with tighter budgets than ever and we recognized there was an opportunity in our lineup to provide a fully-loaded processor at a price advantage. AERO.100 gives up nothing in terms of audio quality, yet represents a tremendous value to our customers.”
Nielsen Encoding and a version without Dolby coding are optionally available.
AERO.lite SDI Loudness Controller
Built off the success of the original AERO.lite, this SDI-only version comes equipped with two 2-channel (2+2 or 1+1) processors.
“We developed the AERO.lite SDI to accommodate stations who need only SDI I/O, along with dual stereo processing,” said Carroll. “The original AERO.lite has proven to be very popular world-wide for customers who want Linear Acoustic quality in a 2-channel processor.”
AEROMAX multistage adaptive wideband and multiband dynamic range control is included to consistently deliver compliant audio.
A redundant external power supply, SNMP monitoring, and an ITU-R BS.1770 loudness meter are all optionally available.
UPMAX v4 Surroundfield Controller
Drawing on the success of its predecessors, this compact, lightweight, and rugged unit produces 5.1 channel audio from two-channel sources and is perfectly suited for OB trucks and postproduction facilities.
Offering AES and auto-sensing HD/SD-SDI I/O, the UPMAX v4 combines the renowned UPMAX upmixing/downmixing algorithm with AutoMAX auto-detection for seamless transitions between stereo and native surround input sources, and produces an upmix that is completely downmix compatible.
The UPMAX v4 comes standard with a built-in ITU loudness meter, dual redundant power supplies, internal relay bypass, SNMP monitoring, and 8 channels of analog outputs for monitoring purposes.
A GPI I/O remote control is optional.
