First 24-Hour Fantasy Sports Network Announces Launch Plans

Fantasy Sports Zone TV (FSZ TV) has announced that it will launch as America’s first and only 24 hour fantasy sports television network. FSZ TV will target the over 35 million Americans that play fantasy sports with programming featuring a strong social media component and a corresponding media-rich website. The new network is led by cable television industry veteran Steve Friedman and investor Jeff Sagansky.

FSZ TV will offer over 3,000 hours of original programming devoted to  professional and college fantasy sports, including baseball, football, basketball, NASCAR, hockey and golf.  The network’s daily live programming will feature prominent bloggers and fantasy sports experts to provide in-depth statistical analysis of fantasy sports and fantasy games.  FSZTV.COM and its social media platforms will provide 24 hour access to fantasy news and advice, weekly and daily games and real-time fan interactivity.

“The cable operators, telco and DBS providers we are working with all recognize that the fantasy sports enthusiast is the consumer who needs to be super-served.  In turn, that highly sought-after consumer with discretionary income will spend money on premium sports products, like Red Zone, Extra Innings and Center Ice,” says Mr. Friedman. “This is a network devoted to both the beginning fantasy sports player and the seasoned fantasy sports fan.  Frankly, these men and women are the holy grail for those advertisers seeking an affluent engaged audience.”
