Turner Sports To Produce Three Customized NCAA Final Four Telecasts Across TBS, TNT, and TruTV

College-basketball fans will have three times the Final Four coverage this April thanks to Turner Sports’ decision to produce three separate telecasts of the NCAA Div. I Men’s Basketball Championship Semifinals across TBS, TNT, and TruTV.

Traditional national-audience-oriented game coverage will be presented on TBS, while TNT and TruTV will feature telecasts that are specifically tailored to one of the teams competing in each game. The team-oriented TNT and TruTV telecasts will feature additional cameras and production elements to capture content specific to each team, as well as a dedicated team of announcers.

The pair of games, which will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX on April 5, will mark the first time the NCAA Tournament semifinal games have ever been televised by a cable network. CBS will once again carry the NCAA National Championship Game two days later, as it has for the past 30 years.

According to SportsBusiness Journal, Turner Sports will also produce separate halftime shows at each Final Four Game focused on the different teams. Pre- and postgame shows will be simulcast across all three channels.

Now in their fourth year of a joint agreement to carry the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, CBS Sports and Turner Sport will combine to produce coverage of all 67 games from the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship across four networks – CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV.
