Bannister Lake Drives ‘Super Sports Pack’ Channel Guide for Rogers Cable

Rogers Cable has contracted Bannister Lake to drive on-screen channel schedule guides for their ultimate sports package — the Super Sports Pack — which combines seven premium sports packages into one convenient bundle. Bannister Lake is providing Rogers Cable with an automated solution called the BL Super Sports Pack Player that serves up game schedules for each league in the bundle.

Bannister Lake’s Super Sports Pack Player solution intelligently reads and parses file data from a centralized game schedule database to automatically generate daily game & match schedules, playlists, and Rogers Cable channel assignments. The generated game schedules come complete with animations and scene duration data for play out.

Rogers Cable operators can use the Bannister Lake’s Super Sports Pack Player to drive Ross Video XPression graphics in a fully unattended mode since Bannister Lake’s player solution continuously monitors referenced data content. As new data changes are saved and detected, the player automatically generates updated game schedule playlist data for output.

Operators can also choose to manually apply minor in-line modifications to the generated output sequence and playlists using the Super Sports Pack Player interface as needed.
